Alarm.Com XML Installation Guide
Creating a Receiver Type
- Open Supervisor Workstation then navigate to Maintenance->Setup->Receiver Types and click Edit.
- Click Add.
- Enter 'Alarm.Com' on both Code and Name.
- Select BOLDXML in Driver. Enter DEBUG=1,MODEL=1 in options with NO spaces.
- Click save.
Creating a Transmitter Type
- Open Operator Workstation then navigate to Maintenance->Transmitter Types.
- Click Add.
- Enter the Type as "Alarm.Com" and Description as "Alarm.Com" and click OK.
- Click Save.
Creating a RLP
- Open Supervisor Workstation then navigate to Maintenance->Setup->Receivers and click Edit.
- Click Rec Line Prefixes then click Add.
- Enter ADC as the Receiver Line Prefix unless the customer wants something specific. Enter the Description as Alarm.Com and click OK.
- Click Save.
Creating a Default System Account
- Select the "Add New Customer" Button.
- Select create customer based on an existing Customer.
- Input SYS-REC1 (or any system account, some customers have it as SYSREC01 )in the Customer ID Field and hit enter. In my case we are using SYS-REC5.
- You should see the following information
- Input the Customer ID as SYS-REC then the next available receiver number you obtained earlier, example SYS-REC23. Set the name as "Alarm.Com Default Receiver" and select Next and then Finish.
- You will see the Following Dialog Window
- Select OK
- You should now see the Systems View with the Default Transmitter
- Select the Transmitter Type Drop Down and select Alarm.Com
- Select the Receiver Line Prefix Drop Down and select ADC.
- Input the Transmitter ID as 9999901, unless the customer wants something specific.
- Click Finish
Creating a Receiver
- Open Maintenance->Setup->Receivers and click the FEP where you want to set Alarm.Com. Click Edit.
- Click Add. Select Alarm.com in Receiver Type. Enter Alarm.Com in Description. Click OK.
Select TCP/IP (In) in Port Type. Enter Host IP as localhost (unless the FEP is located on another machine), Enter Port Number as whatever the customer wanted it to be. Select Default Receiver Line Prefix as Alarm.Com. Select Default Monitoring Group. Select Receiver Line Prefix as Alarm.Com, Select The Transmitter ID magnifying glass and then select the SYS-REC account we created.
- Click save.
