Pre-Requisites:
- All Windows Updates installed on the computer
- Microsoft .net 4.7 or higher installed
- Automatic Windows updates are disabled
Installation instructions:
**Computer needs to be logged in as an Administrator**
- Transfer SIMS III Formwriter executable to the destination computer (FORMWRIT3.exe)
- Right-click on FormWrit3.exe and Run As Administrator
- Installer will load and InstallShield Wizard will launch:
- Click Next to get to the License Agreement section:
- Click I accept the terms in the license agreement and then click Next to get to the Readme Information section:
- Click Next to get to the Customer Information section (the customer can enter an alternate User Name and Organization if they so desire):
- Click Next to get to the Ready to Install the Program section:
- Click Install to install the SIMS III Formwriter files. Once the files have installed, then the InstallShield Wizard Completed section launches:
Click Finish to close installer.
**Make sure the product is updated using Live Update before continuing**
- If SIMS III for Windows is set up on the machine, then the database information will be pulled from the settings.xml file for SIMS III
- Once Formwriter has been installed, go to Options>Setup to set additional options
- Misc - (Use SQL Forms) to set it up for the Forms to be housed in the SQL database rather than a shared network folder (SQL only)
- If the customer elects for this option, once the option is enabled, the forms will be uploaded by going to Tools>Upload Forms
- Logging - setup the log files (both error and send logs)
- Backup - if the customer wants to set a backup)
- Misc - (Use SQL Forms) to set it up for the Forms to be housed in the SQL database rather than a shared network folder (SQL only)
