Introduction
This video driver is only available in Manitou 2.1 or later using the VCC. It requires a SITEID, USERNAME, and PASSWORD that must be provided by the customer and Envysion. We use an API to connect to the Envysion cloud service to get the stream for a given camera system. These are the pieces of information needed beforehand.
Customer Account
Devices are typically created on a System at the account level. They can be under a transmitter or just under the system. For the following examples, I am creating them just under the system.
Create a unique Device ID
Add a Description
Provide a SITEID in the Address field
Choose ENVYSION - Envysion VCC as the Video Type
Provide one of two different Options strings:
- Single Camera Option: Provide CAMERA# starting from 0, USERNAME, and PASSWORD
- All Camera Option: Provide USERNAME and PASSWORD with the fetchall=true parameter
If you would like this to automatically launch during the handling of an alarm, you must set the Area and Zone fields.
You can test the connection by using the CONNECT button.
Video Control Center (VCC) Functionality
The VCC will show one or more video windows for each camera you connect to for a specific site. It is very important to note that Envysion does not support Recorded video so you will not be able to search back in time. Live view is the only thing supported currently.
