Client Install

From the workstation you want to install SedonaOffice Client onto, follow the steps below.

Click Start > Run > Type \\YourServerName and press enter.

(you may be prompted for a user login, use the administrator account for your server to log in)

Open the SedonaOffice Installations Files folder.

Locate and run the SOClient5.6.8.exe. This should be run from the folder on the server or you will need to copy the .ini and .txt files from the server to the same folder as the client install and update file. The installation is a straightforward process.

When completed look in the shared directory again and run the latest update from that directory. The update file name looks like SedonaOffice_Update_5702xx_Rev_x.exe. This is also a straightforward install.

When completed, you can open the SedonaOffice icon from your desktop and log in.

Sometimes the install/update will error due to AV falsely quarantining a file or the client being unable to reach the server via named pipes or over TCP/UDP ports 1443/4992.
