Using the Broker Analyser

Installation

The Broker Analyser should be included with all Manitou Core installs on the same server the Broker was installed on. The steps below detail how to configure the Broker Analyser given it exists within the Manitou directory.

If BrokerAnalyser.exe is missing, please find the latest version within the distribution files by searching within the customer's Distributer folder. The file will be placed within the same directory the Broker exists in (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Bold Technologies\Manitou).
 

  1. Open the SWS and navigate to Maintenance > Setup > Configuration.
  2. Enter Edit Mode
  3. Within the server that has the Broker running, Select Applications and then select the Add button.

  1. Within the Add Application window select the Broker Analyser (App Type 23), and select OK.
  2. Set the Start status to Manual.
  3. Specify the EXE path to the location the BrokerAnalyser.exe exists.
  4. Save changes made.
  5. Navigate to the directory the broker analyser exists. (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Bold Technologies\Manitou)
  6. Right-click on the BrokerAnalyser and select Send To ? Desktop (create shortcut)
  7. From the desktop rename the newly created shortcut to Broker Analyser.
  8. Right-click on the shortcut and select properties.
  9. Select the compatibility tab
  10. Check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator"
  11. Select OK

Using the Broker Analyser

The steps below detail aspects of the Broker Analyser commonly used. To begin start the application using the shortcut created on the desktop.

Notifications

By default, the Broker Analyser will show the Notifications. If this is not showing by default or hidden, it can be viewed by selecting View ? Notifications. Inversely, it can be removed from the display screen by selecting it again from the View menu.

The notifications screen will show all important messages within the system the most common being Watchdog messages. It by default will show the time, the type of message, and the notification number type or details depending on the type received.
