Language Utility Setup
Creating the Shortcut
- Navigate to the Manitou Installation Directory
- Default is C:\Program Files(x86)\Bold Technologies\Manitou\
- Locate and Right-Click LanguageUtility.exe, select Send to > Desktop (Create Shortcut)
- Right-Click the Language Utility Shortcut on the desktop and select Properties.
- At the end of the Target field, leave a space before typing in Manitou
Example: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Bold Technologies\Manitou\LanguageUtility.exe” Manitou
- Select OK to save.
ODBC Configuration
In the Windows search bar type in ODBC Driver and select the 32-bit application.
In the ODBC Driver 32-bit driver app, select the System DSN tab. Select Add to add a new driver and scroll down to SQL Server to select.
Click Finish

Language Utility Use
Bold Language Utility must be used while logged into the active Manitou Server.
Locate and launch the Language Utility Shortcut present on the Desktop.
NOTE: If the Shortcut is not present it will be necessary to re-create the Shortcut. Please see the above instructions.
Select Connect to Database button on the left side of the application.
When prompted, enter the SQL Admin (SA) password and select OK
From the Locale Drop-Down select the Locale that will be translated
After a brief wait all translatable fields will be listed including the number of translated fields.
The English Text column contains the default English entries. The Target Text Column contains the translated items. Blue Cells have a translation. Yellow Cells do NOT have a translation.
It is possible to Filter the records by the English or Target entries using the Filter Records field. Enter the intended entry and select Apply to search for the entry.
After completing the translation work, close the application.
