Implementations - Populate Distributer Checksum for custom distributions

Introduction

This document will provide reference steps for how to update checksums and packages for the Bold Distributer.

Navigate to the distributer directory
- %\Program Files (x86)\Bold Technologies\Manitou\Distributer\
Locate the intended Patch folder or Package Folder numbered sub-folder
- Patch Folder - Numbered patches for Manitou -Distributes with Update to Latest Patch command
- Package Folder - Contains Numbered patch folders - Distributes with Send Package Number # command
Place the intended files into the appropriate folder
Locate the appropriate distlist.txt or packagelist.txt file and open with Notepad++
Locate the intended Patch or Package Folder Number in the list.
Build the Item number using the following breakdown
- Destination Path - %MANITOU%
- File Name - FULL-FILENAME.EXE
- Control Characters - Reference Guide Below
- Checksum - Numeric Value
- EXAMPLE: %MANITOU%, 5975-AVIGILON--VCC_DRIVER_AVIGILON7_SETUP.EXE, 011, 2458700769, , ,

Once the Distributer commander has finished the Checksum Population, reload the Distlist.txt file to verify the new entries were created.

  - %MANITOU%, 5975-AVIGILON--VCC_BASE_SETUP.EXE, 011, 2752369692, , ,
Open the Logger and select the Distributer Checkbox
Perform a test push to the local server or a non-critical workstation to verify the package/patch will update the appropriate files
Updated Files and Dislist are now updated and ready for normal use.
