Overview
Many of the FEP drivers support Extended Signaling. This allows multiple signals from a receiver to be combined into one signal into Manitou. For example, a 4/1 format signal only allows 4 digits of account number (TXID) and 1 digit of zone information. For panels that need to have 2 digits of zone information, they created extended signaling. In this case, they send the first message with XXXX Y where X is the TXID and Y is the first digit of the zone. The second message is YYYY Z where the Y is the first digit of the zone repeated 4 times and the Z is the second digit of the zone.
FEP Settings
On the FEP we need to have one or more lines defined on the Receiver. The lines should be corresponding to the receiver lines where these signals are expected to be received. On the settings for each line, the Extended Reporting Delay setting must be greater than zero. This will cause the FEP to hold the signal for a period of time to check for a second signal that would be interpreted as the extended part. How long this is must be determined by the customer.
Account Settings
Each account that is expecting these extended signals must be configured on their Transmitter in order to work properly. This is per Transmitter so it must be done for all transmitters where these signals are expected.

Operation
Once set up, when two signals are sent in they will be joined to create a single signal. Our example uses the following two signals:

These become one signal with a zone of 97. This can be seen in the raw data on the signal.
