Description of Issue:
How do I update the Standard Cost? Or Can Standard Cost be updated with a physical inventory?
Resolution:
Standard Cost can only be updated manually by editing it on individual parts. No, it cannot be updated with a physical inventory.
To update the Standard Cost of a part, open the part from Inventory > Parts
Search for and locate the part you wish to update the standard cost for and click the Edit button.
Or, double-click the part to open the inventory part window. Then right-click the part name at the top of the screen and choose the Edit Part option.
Both options will open the Part Edit screen.
Go to the Warehouses tab
In the Warehouses tab, you will see the standard cost listed. You can choose to update the standard cost for a single warehouse by selecting the warehouse you wish to update it in and then enter a new cost in the Standard Cost field.
Once the price is entered, click the Add button. The new cost will be reflected.
Or, you can apply the standard cost to all warehouses by using the Set All Warehouses box under the Standard Cost field.
Once the desired changes are made and saved, click the Save button at the bottom of the Part Edit window.
