Overview
The focus of enhancing PSIM was to bring a much more visual method for consuming, analyzing, and dealing with Incidents in the Manitou system. This is focused on using a map to contain high level situational awareness while being able to access detailed information easily at various levels of the subject at hand. We wanted to clean up the alarm handling "information overload" and present the things that matter most at each level of investigation. This is all accessible from the new "PSIM Incident Queue" button on the toolbar.

As new signals arrive/leave in the system, the map will automatically update. Also zooming or panning will trigger an update of the displayed data on the map. A yellow box will momentarily appear to set the bounding parameters for the data set. When it clears, the new data should be available.
Incident Summary
The Incident Summary reflects statistics about the whole incident queue.
For the items in the Incident Summary section, we give a visual indication of the state of the item. If an incident is being handled or is suspended, it will show as white. If the incident isn't being handled or isn't currently suspended, it will show as dark orange.
Items in the Incident Summary are hyperlinked to zoom to the incident on the map if there are coordinates associated to a plan on the site.
Times on the items are in minutes.
- Highest: This is the highest priority incident in the queue.
- Oldest: This is the oldest incident in the queue.
- Newest: This is the newest incident in the queue.
- Highest Threat: This is the site with the highest calculated threat level. The threat level is calculated based on the highest incident priority and the number of incidents for that site.
