How to Check Applied Sedona-X Licensing
Issue:
If you find yourself in need of confirming how many Sedona-X Users a customer is licensed for, you can check in Octopus. Licenses for Sedona-X must be applied via Sedona-X to be retained for future deployments. While they can be applied in the configuration, this is not the preferred method of Sedona-X license updates.
Note: This will show you the amount of Sedona-X licenses the customer is currently allotted in their system. It may not be currently aligned with how many they are paying for and you would need to reach out to SalesOps for current totals/decrease or XFR to Sales to increase count.
Resolution:
To see the last deployed/applied total Sedona-X license count you will need to login to Octopus
- http://alarmbillerdeployment.perennialsoftware.com:8080/octopus/app#/Spaces-1/projects
- If you have checked your LastPass and can not remember your username/pw please submit a case to Infrastructure for a reset
- Once logged in you will want to select “Projects” from the top bar
- From there you will want to start typing in 2nd space for Project Name/Description to search for the customer In this example we have typed “demo”
Depending on how long the customer has been with us you may see projects in multiple categories but the only current supported category for Sedona-X will be “SedonaCloud” not SedonaAPI
- Select the customer project by left clicking [in this example SO 2016] Then Select Variables from the list on the left hand side
- Once the variables populate scroll to the bottom and look for a Variable named License Depending on how your layout is configured and window size you can either hove over the License Value or click on it to expand it
- Expiration should always be Month and Day license applied and year will be 9999
- SedonaXMobile should always be true otherwise the User count would be irrelevant
- MaxSedonaXMobileUsers will have the current max number of users allotted
