In the Inventory module, create a new part and enable the checkbox for "Part Kit".
The "Parts In Kit" tab will appear. On this tab, add all the parts that make up the kit, including the quantity of each part.
Allocate a percentage of the kit value to each part in the kit. Note that this is a percentage of the kit's value in your warehouse, not a percentage of the price you pay the vendor or the price you charge your customer. This percentage will be used to adjust inventory values when the kit is built and broken out.
One way to increase your quantity on hand for a part kit is to build the kit using the parts on hand. To do this, pull up the kit in SedonaOffice and select the warehouse where you would like to build the kit from the part tree. Right-click on that warehouse and select "Build Part Kit".
When you build the kit, the system will automatically reduce the quantity in stock of the component parts and increase the quantity in stock of the kit(s). The system will also make a GL entry to transfer the part values from the component parts in their warehouses to the kit part in its warehouse. The first time you build the part kit, navigate to the settings tab to direct the system on how it should make the GL entry. Check the box to make your settings default so that the system will use these same settings moving forward.
