PBX Enterprise Installation

The steps are similar enough to use any of the other providers changing the dlls and configuration files to the matching integration.

Information and Terminology

Patch - Revision-dependent set of files versioned by a number intended to update core Manitou files.

Package - Revision-dependent set of files that are not versioned by a number. These are intended to update non-Manitou core files and to apply hotfixes.

Version - The base revision installed of a Manitou system. (e.g., 2.0.0, 1.6.4, 1.6.3)

MSM (Manitou System Manager) - A Manitou-specific application for starting and stopping necessary alarm automation services.

VEP - (Virtual End Point) This is a virtual extension monitored for transferring and handling calls between the PBX system and Manitou.

DID - (Direct Inward Dialing) A Service of the Telco Provider. This is a number or block of numbers provided for calling into the PBX system.

ANI - (Automatic Number Identification) The Calling Line Identification/CID. This is a number that represents the origin of a call.

DNIS - (Dialed Number Information Service) This is a number that represents the destination dial string.

Preparation and Requirements

  1. Before starting the install, verify the following items are completed/in place.
    • Follow the Manitou - MediaGateway - MediaGateway - Installation if not already installed.
    • Add all system information into CRM before installation.
    • Check there is enough hard drive space available
      • Recommended 10GB free minimum
    • Verify all servers and machines meet the latest minimum requirements guidelines.
    • Install .Net 4.6
    • Check which PBX Provider the installation will be using.
