Manitou – How to Authorize 3rd Party SedonaOffice Connections

After updating SedonaOffice Client, the Legacy Manitou Edition sometimes will need to be reapplied.  The steps below will show how to reauthorize the client after the files have been replaced and the SedonaOffice client needs to be reauthorized in Manitou.   The steps are for versions of SedonaOffice 6.2.0.x and Manitou 2.1.0.x.

Overview

After the files have been replaced, the SedonaOffice client will need to be reauthorized in Manitou for the integration to work and show as a Manitou Edition.  Follow the steps below to authorize that workstation.  These steps will need done on all workstations not showing the Legacy Manitou Edition when the SedonaOffice Client opens.

Steps:

1. On the workstation to be reauthorized; verify user(s) are logged out of all SedonaOffice applications.  Can open Task Manager to verify no applications are open.

2. Open Manitou Supervisor Workstation – Click on Maintenance – Workstations

3. Find the workstation Name in the list – If there are entries for the workstation with the Client Type of 3rd Party Client – Click on Edit Button – Highlight – Press the Delete key to remove – Click on OK to delete entry – Click on Save after line removed

** If more than one entry, repeat Step 3 prior to saving to remove the other entries

4. On SedonaOffice workstation – right click on the client – Run as administrator

5. Log into SedonaOffice with an administrator user

6. One of the Manitou Error messages that can pop up will say about not able to locate the application server – Click Ok when it pops up

** Will also see the One Moment ….  Message – that will go away after connection.

7. When the SedonaOffice Client opens – the Manitou Edition will not be seen at the top left of the window – Click on the X to close the window

8. If not open, open the Manitou Supervisor Workstation – Maintenance – Workstation and find the workstation name and the entry should show as Green

9. Click on Edit button – highlight the entry – Click on Security Level drop down – Select Non-Protected Area – Click on Save

 

10. The workstation entry will turn Yellow after saved

11. Try to log back into SedonaOffice Client normally – the Manitou Edition should now be seen in the upper left corner of the window
