Unlocking Locked Tables in SedonaOffice

Description of Issue:

I’m trying to get into an area in SedonaOffice but I’m being met with a popup telling me that it’s locked by a user. How do I unlock that?

Fixes:

To unlock an area which you have received an error telling you that it is locked by another user, or if you are unable to open a screen or module and suspect that another user may be in it, go to Lock Table Maintenance.

When you click on Lock Table Maintenance, the Locked Records Table will open.

If there are users any modules, screens, or windows, they will appear in the window.

The Locked Records Table will display any users who are potentially locking any areas in SedonaOffice. It will also display the amount of minutes the area has been locked for.

Note: When a user exits SedonaOffice, their lock should release automatically, however, certain criteria may keep the lock in place, such as if an error was experienced and the user was kicked out.

To release the lock, select the user you wish to unlock and click on the Unlock button.

You will receive a message asking if you are sure that you want to unlock the selected record(s)? Click Yes.

The Locked Record will be released and the area that was locked will be available to access.

Note: You will not be able to unlock a record if it has only been locked for less than 10 minutes. This usually indicates that there is a user actively accessing the area.
