Overview
This is a quick one-off development work to create a method to launch VCC so that they can use the Avigilon 7 driver from 1.6.4 OWS. It is ONLY for this one customer and will not be put into any official release. This is not a thing that any other customer can get or use.
Installation
- The following script needs to be run against any Manitou Databases. This must be done manually.
- A new version of OWS must be put on all workstations. This is in the attached zip file. This can be put into the distributor and pushed but the distlist must be updated for the new checksum. This is not provided. OR it can be copied by hand to the workstations.
- Three new VCC installers must be run on ALL workstations. The target path must be the same base directory where the Manitou.exe (OWS) file is installed. They must be run in the following order:
- 5975-avigilon--VCC_Base_setup.exe
- 5975-avigilon--VCC_Driver_Avigilon5_setup.exe
- 5975-avigilon--VCC_Driver_Avigilon7_setup.exe
- This integration works by writing a file (Vccvideorequest.xml) to the windows user's APPDATA folder and launching VCC. Any troubleshooting needs to include the file written out as part of the logs.
- They will need to create devices on accounts with the a setup similar to this in OWS:
Operation
This work supports ONLY launching video for Avigilon from an Alarm or from Plans. It does NOT support launching additional video into the same player once VCC has been launched. The only way to get multiple cameras to display in the VCC grid, you have a video sequence where the FIRST camera in the sequence is of type AVIG5 or AVIG7. All other video types still launch in the MediaMatrix.
