SIMS Basic Information

Layout of typical SIMS system

  • Database Server (Monitoring Station is responsible for replication unless contracted with Bold Group).
  • Automation software (SIMS III Receiver) and add-on modules will usually reside on separate machine(s).
  • SIMS III for Windows application resides on Operator Workstations.

Add-On Modules

  • SIMS III for Windows - SIMS client application on the Operator Workstation that connects to the database.
  • SIMS III Receiver Server - SIMS automation software for signal processing.
  • SIMS II Migrator - SIMS program that is used in the process of converting from a SIMS Flat File database to a SIMS SQL database.
  • SIMS III Overwatch - SIMS program that will show the information about each SIMS program (that uses the SIMSData.dll).
  • SIMS III Formwriter - SIMS program that automatically generates reports.
  • SIMS Xfer - SIMS program that sends a backup of the database and other files to the Bold Group data center.
  • Comserver III - SIMS program that handles emails, faxes and SMS messaging.
  • SIMS Dispatch - SIMS program that will send signals out via 2 way text messaging to lessen the Operator workload (IIS - Internet Information Services runs in the background).
  • iPocket Server - SIMS program that connects to an iOS or Android app to all customers and/or dealers to have access to their accounts.
  • Live Update 4 - SIMS program that is run by the end user to update the SIMS programs on that workstation.
  • Vapor Paper 3 - SIMS program that records raw data directly from the receivers. This is a "printer" program that writes the information to a file rather than the output going to a physical printer. This product can be used as a stand alone program or in conjunction with other SIMS products.
