Customer Inspection Record
These 2 Fields determine the Next Inspection Date:
FREQUENCY – this determines if the Inspection Record will generate the Next Inspection (Date) monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual, etc.
NEXT INSPECTION (Date) – this is the date the system is using to determine what the Next Inspection Date will advance to.
These 2 Fields Do Not affect the Date in Next Inspection (Date):
NEXT INSPECTION AT – this determines WHEN the Current Next Inspection (Date) will update with the New Next Inspection (Date). These options are:
- Ticket Created
- Ticket Scheduled
- Ticket Resolved
- Ticket Closed
LAST INSPECTION DATE –
This field does not affect the Next Inspection Date.
This field is only used to show the Date of the Last Inspection.
This field updates once the current Inspection Ticket is closed.
EXAMPLE #1:
Frequency: Monthly
Last Inspection: 1/15/23
Next Inspection: 2/15/23
Next Inspection At: Ticket Created
Since the Next Inspection At is set to Created, when the Inspection Ticket is Created in the Service Module, the Next Inspection (Date) is updated to 3/15/23 because the frequency is Monthly.
Notice the Last Inspection Date has not changed.
When the Inspection Ticket is Closed the Last Inspection Date will update to the Date the Ticket was closed.
This Inspection Ticket was Closed on 2/20/23, so the Last Inspection Date updated to that date.
Notice the Next Inspection (Date) is still showing 3/15/23.
EXAMPLE #2:
Frequency: Annual
Last Inspection: 1/15/22
Next Inspection: 2/15/23
Next Inspection At: Ticket Closed
Since the Next Inspection At is set to Closed, when the Inspection Ticket is Closed in the Service Module, the Next Inspection (Date) is updated to 2/15/2024 because the Frequency is Annual.
When the Inspection Ticket is Closed the Last Inspection Date will update to the Date the Ticket was closed.
This Inspection Ticket was Closed on 2/20/23, so the Last Inspection Date updated to that date.
Notice the Next Inspection (Date) is still showing 2/15/24.
