SedonaOffice Editing and Inactivating Job Types

Question:

I’m looking to reduce the size of our Job Types list. What will happen if I alter or set a Job Type that is currently in use?

Answer:

If you have a Job Type that is currently being used and it is set to Inactive status, it will not cause any issues. You can continue to work as normal in the job until its conclusion. You will not be able to create new jobs using that Job Type afterward.

If you alter an existing Job Type while it is being used, then you will see some of those changes the next time you open a job that is using that Job Type, depending on the changes made. For example, if you update the name of the Job Type, you will see that reflected on the job the next time you open it. If you add new Job Tasks to the Job Type, then those new Tasks will not appear on the Job unless you add them.
