All Events Printer Setup

Overview

Stealth can read data from the All Events Printer service inside of Manitou. When data is recorded in the logger, it will come through the All Events Printer as well as the Receiver Printer itself. When displayed in the Stealth Logger there will be additional account information and action data for each signal. This is useful for sites that want to be able to audit signals through Stealth.

NOTE: If Manitou is not running on any server, the AEP data will not be transmitted to Stealth, as the Manitou Service is not running to provide the additional data.

Manitou Configuration

For Manitou to communicate AEP data we will need to point the Signal Handler to distribute the additional data to Stealth.

  • In Supervisor Workstation > Maintenance > Setup > Configuration
  • Select the Signal Handler
  • Set the Parameters as:
<n>Optional parameter specifying the number of simultaneous signals that can be processed. The minimum value is 1 and the default value is 1. This parameter must be supplied and be given before the optional All Events machine name parameter if it is specified.
<s>Optional machine name/IP address of All Events Printer/Stealth Logger. If given, this parameter must follow the parameter described above.
-aOptional parameter for machine name/IP address of a second All Events Printer/Stealth Logger.
-n<n>Optional parameter to be used in conjunction with All Events machine name parameter which specifies the UDP port number to use for All Events activity. If omitted, the default is 6981.

  • Repeat these steps for all server configurations.

Add the All Events Printer to the Stealth Logger

  • Open the Stealth Logger
  • Right click on Devices and select Add
  • Specify the Device Type as Text
  • Select the Input Type as UDP
  • Enter a Device Code, this will be used for identification in this case use AEP
  • Enter a Description as All Events
  • The Device Options MUST have EOL=NULL for AEP info to come to the stealth
  • Set the Port to the port specified in the Signal Handler parameters (6981 is the default)
