Purpose
This document is a high-level overview of when SedonaSync is used vs SedonaEmail.
SedonaEmail
The SedonaEmail module is used to send email communications from within SedonaOffice. It is included in the SedonaOffice product. One use for the product is sending invoices via email, however, SedonaEmail puts the invoice in the body of the email vs an attachment to the email.
For some recipients, the invoice must be an attachment. SedonaEmail cannot be used for this purpose.
SedonaSync
SedonaSync is an add-on module to SedonaOffice. It allows users to configure “events” to trigger actions based upon set criteria or activity within the database. One such event would be the sending of invoices. Unlike SedonaEmail, the event in SedonaSync can be configured to include the invoice as an attachment vs embedded in the body of the email.
