Examples of Data Mapping for Universal Connectors

Examples of Data Mapping for Universal Connectors

Example of using an email type connector to send attachments (jpg, mov, mp4, etc...)

Create a new Connector type for the email source you will be using.

Verify the credentials are correct by clicking the Test button and that it shows the test is successful.

Create a new set for Data Mapping based on the example below

The value for the Binary File Ext is set based on the Audio and Video (Binary) section of this document  Manitou Core - XML Receiver Driver

In this example, I am sending in an AVI clip so I have it set to 1005.

The pre-processing tab should be blank

Do a File> Save, then a Reload and Restart to make sure changes are saved.

Next create a Line Driver

Use the Data Mapping just created in the properties of the Line Driver for the FieldSet variable

After the Line Driver is created check the box next to it to start the line driver. Do a File>Save then a File>Restart/Reload to ensure all the changes are picked up. Once everything reloads the light should show green that the driver is started. Check the Activity and and verify the MG is looking for incoming emails and that there are no errors

When sending an email for testing it cannot contain a signature line and needs to be in PLAIN TEXT format. Else it will not parse correctly.

Email example:

123588 = TXID for my customer

BA = Burglary SIA event code

1 = Zone 1

1 = Area 1

Attached is the AVI video clip that I want to show in the alarm.

The Activity in the MG will show the email come in, and the alarm being parsed.

Alarm will come into Manitou as the following:
