An external IP and port will need to be given to Bosch so that they can send signals to the receiver driver. A rule will need to be made in the firewall to pass traffic from the Internet to the FEP server.
The following steps and related screenshots show how to set up the receiver type as well as setting up the receiver driver.
Customers with multiple Manitou Servers or FEP servers will need to change the firewall rule on failover, or designate one FEP just for Bosch cloud and build that FEP into all MSM configurations.
Set up the receiver type for the Bosch receiver
Open the Supervisor Workstation and click Maintenance | Setup | Receiver Types.
- NAME: Type BOSCH CBS for the label of the new receiver type
- DRIVER: Select BOLDXML
- OPTIONS: Type MODEL=1, DEBUG=1, HB=1
NOTE: MODEL=1 chooses the type of XML device connecting. DEBUG=1 turns on the debug output so that you can review the raw data signals in the debug files if needed. And, the HB=1 turns on the heartbeat option for the receiver driver.
Set up a receiver driver
- Open the Supervisor Workstation and click Maintenance | Setup | Receivers.
- Add a new receiver driver. In this case, the receiver is called, “BOSCH CBS Receiver.”
Add the necessary receiver options
- It is necessary to select TCP/IP (In) from the Port Type drop-down list box to create a listening connection.
- It is not necessary to set the Host IP option, but localhost has been typed in the Host IP box as a reminder that this will be listening and will not make an outbound connection.
- Bosch will make a connection to the FEP, so you will need to define the port they will connect to. In this case port “10010” has been entered as the listening port (Port Number box).
- Once everything has been set, you will be able to review the information in the FEP Commander showing that the driver is in the “TCP Listen” state waiting for a connection from the Bosch CBS platform.
- Have Bosch Send in a test signal.
