Zone Description for Alarm not necessary
The zone description is being added to the event description for Events like Comm Fail (YC) and Network fail (NT)
There are several event codes that should not include a zone description when received. Any event code where the zone is not significant should have signal processing attribute '3' added.
Steps to add the signal processing attribute '3'
1. Open Supervisor Workstation.
2. Go to Maintenance, Events, and Event codes.
3. Click edit and select the Event code where the zone is not significant.
4. Click on the ellipse at the end if the Signal Processing Attributes line.
5. The list of Signal Processing Attributes will open
6. Check box by the number '3'
7. Click ok
8. Save change
Future Alarms
When the Event Code is received again, the zone description for the zone received in the signal, will not be added to the event description.
